Duet Dance Studio Chicago offers ballroom dance lessons and wedding dance classes. We teach salsa, swing, tango and waltz dance lessons. Privately and in groups, for adults and kids.

During her younger years, Hanna was a member of a competitive dance studio focusing on ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Throughout high school, she trained in modern, kickline, and novelty as well. A performer at heart, novelty became a fast favorite and Hanna was a dancing chorus member for her high school's theater department too. She was a competing member of her high school dance team all four years and a captain for the final three. Hanna loves to travel, meet new people, and experience different cultures. As a Rotary International Youth Ambassador in South Korea, she learned traditional fan dancing and joined a KPop dance club. The camaraderie and community building are Hanna's favorite aspect of dance so she's taught dance fitness at a nursing home, talent show routines for a girl scout troupe and a graduation flash mob for a special education program.

Hanna has been partner dancing for years and loves working with the Duet students. Ballroom dance is so special because it focuses on the connection between two people. Her favorite part of teaching ballroom is watching couples relax and have fun together. She really enjoys the relationships she builds with her students and being part of such a special time in their life.

If Hanna isn't at Duet, she's most likely at a coffee shop working towards her Small Business Administration BS, checking out a new bar or restaurant with her boyfriend, or running down the lakefront with her dog.

Kathryn was an absolute joy to work with. She was so friendly and supportive that it was like learning from an old friend. In no time, we went from dreading learning how to dance to looking forward to the lessons and having a lot of fun there. It’s literally the only part of prepping for the wedding that we actually miss.
