Caitlin Dyer
Instructor
Caitlin is originally from northeast Ohio, where her dancing began at the age of three. She trained and competed in jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and acro through her adolescent years, and eventually moved to Chicago to attend Loyola University Chicago! In May of 2023, Caitlin graduated with a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Accounting from LUC, being the first student at the university to do so!
During her time at Loyola, she performed in a multitude of contemporary, modern and jazz performances on campus and within Chicago. Outside of Chicago, Caitlin was lucky enough to travel to Rome, Italy and perform with Mandala Dance Company. She was able to take pedagogy and disability in dance courses, which both impact her teaching style at Duet!
Upon graduation, Caitlin began her career as a dancer with both Concert Dance Inc. and MOMENTA Dance Company. Her love for ballroom is her newest dance endeavor, and she loves sharing this passion alongside the other instructors at Duet. Caitlin’s favorite thing about teaching is watching her students leave their lessons feeling accomplished and confident!
When she’s not teaching, you can find Caitlin “urban hiking,” crunching numbers (she did study accounting), and cooking for herself and her friends. Her favorite color is orange, her favorite wedding first-dance song is “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole, and her dream wedding destination is Cape Cod!
